Some more from last week

The Bee's wings were done with an gelly roll stardust pen.
The flower and bee (SU Bloomin'Beautiful) were stamped with Versafine ink on georgia pacific 110. colored with prisma pencils. there is some shabby shutters and peeled paint distress on the edges of the panel. the sentiment (Impress) is stamped with always artichoke ink. the ribbons May Arts. the mat on this is More Mustard. the french script background is stamped with Palette cognac ink on the cardbase. The green
panel is from that club scrap pack i received from the caardvarks challenge last summer.
This card is 5X7 in real life.
This one the decoy image is from Impression Obsession. its colored with prisma pencils. the Sentiment (Su vogue Verses) is stamped with versafine ink on a scrap of really rust. the brads are from Creative Impressions.
The crackle pp is not marked with mfg info. ( so maybe provo craft or one of those people who sell them in packs. ( Ive had it for years) This card is also 5X7 in real life.
This one the edges of the bloom panel have some antique linen distress on them the tan texture is bazzill and the redish color is unknown. this ones not quite 5X7 in real life. Antique colored brads are from Creative Impressions.
Some fun images from SU's old set called birthday banter. I made a wish for these and it was granted by Tackertwosome ( Thanks Lena!) they are colored with prisma pencils and then the edges have some antique linen distress ink on them. these are A-2 in size.
This was the first one, and the printed paper is from Basic Grey. but, these were the only prima flowers i had in these colors and the go with the true thyme cardstock pretty well. I did add some stickles to the centers of these too. I had colored two of these nearly the same so,
I used the other half of the papers to do it, and then i had this baggie of these punchies on my table they were like a free gift from an eBay seller that i received a stamp in the mail from last week. ( so no idea on who or what or how) but, i added the pink stickles to the very centers of them.
This was just messing around because i had wanted to play with these labels since i first seen them. made some thank-you covered mini peppermint patty candies and then had some extra sentiments because, J figured out i was using real candy for the centers haha.
Lace is from the embellishment studio. ( one of last years kits)
sentiment is stamped with soft sky on Georgia pacific 110.
the dark teal punch was done with scraps and the su scallop circle punch. there is some eucalyptus stickles on them too. ended up using glue dots to stick them to the candy wrappers.
Did some pink ones with the all scallops free set. centers read your so sweet.

Happy Easter

paas Easter egg dye on watercolor paper...
applied with paint brushes
Gonna press them and then stamp on them... probably going to pick up more dye tomorrow on the way to work since it will probably be on sale. :)
this morning thought ( after the left over dye was washed away) to try soaking some white gross grain in it...
Something from last Friday. the sentiments from Inkadinkado and stamped with palette Cognac. the SU puppy image is stamped with versafine onyx black on Georgia Pacific 110 and colored with prisma pencils. This card is A-2 in real life.
Grace is doing good, growing like a weed. Her bottom teeth are now starting to poke holes in the roof of her mouth so, they will probably end up pulled soon. ( which will give her some relief for a few months till the adult teeth come in.) she has a better then 50% chance of not having all the health problems later. but, if she does get them she will probably have a short life. the dogs who get them develop them between 3 and 4 years old.

I could really use a ((HUG))

She likes to snuggle...
We've named her Grace.
And all of us love her to death, one week later...
Grace has a genetic birth defect (overbite) she cannot be breed.
The breeders are willing to take her back...
but, i don't know yet what we are going to do, we had gotten deliberately from different blood lines then storm with the intentions of breeding them someday. this will never happen. our vet seen both dogs today. (storm has a lump on his back this should go away its either a reaction to the rattlesnake vaccination or the Lyme disease vaccination ( he had 4 or 5 shots last week) but, back to Grace. she has to get fixed no matter what.
She could develop all kinds of health problems, maybe spend her life going to dog orthodontists. ( there are not any where we live so long road trips to spend big bucks fixing her mouth as she ages)
so many potential heartbreaks.
and this comes the day after we've named her and falling in love.
Well of course we are gonna keep her, lets just hope she doesn't need lots of dental work before we pay off the hospital for my ear...

A pretty simple one, 10 years later i finally used the cameo coral ink pad. this is some stardream chiara (simmery pale green) cardstock. with some Prima flowers very easy. the tan textured cs is from Bazzill.
The sequins between the prima flowers and the brads are from a little assortment package i picked up in the wedding isle at walmart years ago. one of those packs has thousands of sequins in it. lotta bling for very little moola.
Did this one yesterday for the breeders we got our puppy from on tuesday. the puppy image is from one of the new SU sets in the little spring flyer book. (cant think of the set name right now) something fathers day ish i guess. Its colored with Prisma Pencils and then layered to some star dream chiara shimmery cardstocks. I bought a ream of the pink and green in Salem at the Paperzone in January to do spring cards with. the ribbon is May Arts. The Sentiment is from Hero Arts and I colored it with tombo markers before i stamped it then figured out it was mounted crooked. pulled it off the block and made it straight.
This flower bowl is from the other su set i got from the same booklet from my mil's party. its colored with prisma pencils. and evidently yesterday was the day to figure out i have lots of crooked sentiments. this one is from the SU set all holidays and i mounted it my self ( and it was really crooked too) so,pulled it off the block and made it straight, but the part on the card was just too crooked so, stamped it again on a scrap and cut around it and tried to make it straight then it really stuck out like a sore thumb so, i thought ok put some diamond glaze on it and make it look like a page pebble... kinda worked but, this photo was shot before the glue was dry so... not sure yet how it looks this morning, but I really liked how the flower colors looked and didn't want to scrap the whole thing. not sure yet it if this one will need reconfigured or not.
This one i colored with prisma markers. the colors are much more bold. went over the tops of the leaves and petals with some pencils for highlights. the edges of the panel have some creamy brown chalk in on them. The sentiments from Impress. yep it was crooked on the block too, pulled it off and re-did it on a scrap and punched it out and put in some pop-dots to cover the blooper. there's some cotton candy stickles in the scallops of the punchie too. the purple color is almost amethyst. and the pink mat is stardream. have some more cute puppy photos but they are in the desk top computer.

These Bunnies are from the old su set called "The gifts of spring" and they were gifted to me via wish rak from {Dorworth} Thanks Mel! Its colored with prisma pencils and layered to a scrap of My Minds eye polkadot pp, and some blue textured cardstock. the cardbase I was messing around with the score pal attempting an border for the edges. ( not exactly perfect ) but, not too bad for no template and just eyeballing it either. The sentiment is from All Holidays and stamped with Versafine Smokey grey on some more of that textured blue cardstock then punched with an yellow scalloped punch. and the mat is some yellow textured bazzill punched with the blue size. And up on pop dots. I think the ribbons May Arts. This card is 6 Inches square in real life.
This one the Gifts of spring bunnies are colored with Prisma Pencils and then the Sentiment is from the So Many Sayings set. I used an Marker to color just that one. The yellow textured cardstock is bazzill and the purple textured paper is from a big pack i got at big lots a few summers ago. ( maybe provo craft but not positive) the ribbons are May Arts. the flowers were white paper ones ( some Prima's some from CTMH) i took a marker and kinda doodled in some of the crevices and then used a tombo blender marker to make it more water colored looking. The yellow mini brad is from Lasting Impressions. I ended up color dusting a little milled lavender distress ink on the edges of the main image to help add some purple to it. This card is 5X7 in real life.
Now this is was a scrap of green shimmer cardstock ( stardream chira something Ive forgotten already. will edit this post maybe tomorrow after i look at the ream again) I was messing around with sentiments for the Bunny cards and then started layering this to that... the green pp is a scrap of chatterbox Olive Eyelet. that i cut it along the scallop edge printed on the paper. the Sentiments from Stampa Rosa, and done on the back side of the yellow textured bazzill. the Ink color is orchid opulence. The from me to you is from the SU set So Many Sayings and stamped with an tombow dark brown marker . ( which also smears on this cardstock) The bunny ( A Muse) is stamped on a scrap of GP110 and colored with pencils (cheap ones since my prisma's were in the house) :) I drew the borders to make it look like a Store window with an olive marker. the eyelet is unknown, the ribbon i think is May Arts.
This is a first attempt to stamp on this cardstock and i figured the prisma markers would show up on it. ( they do) but I used a Ranger Olive Archival ink to stamp the image. and it did not dry. the prisma markers when coloring this image dissolved the image, and then after i was mostly done coloring it i seen i had smeared some. then later i smeared it some more. so, I probably wont be sending this to anyone BUT, if you know of an ink that dries on this cardstock that is NOT a Black one i think i would be interested in hearing about it... I know i could have heat set it but, i didn't realize it wasn't dry until it was too late. The sentiment is over stamped on it with India Ink Black. The pink pp is a scrap of My Minds Eye. This one is 4 1/2 x 6 1/2" in real life.

more

on the way to school this morning,
after leaving the vets on the way to school. this is an explorer seat.
next to my desk at work. if you have one of those staples roller mats you know about how big it is from the handle to the corner.
You can take your puppy to work with you?! Neato! (you can when your self employed) :)
She mostly slept today.
but, when she's awake she has a super fun personality.
Thinks the cat is a chew toy.
now that she's figured out he has no claws...
no name yet.

more to come

This is little miss yellow ric rac collar ( not wearing anymore) it was a birth order thing the breeders did to keep track of the litter. She's doubled in size since we seen her two weeks ago. :)
more later, gotta run to work ( and the vet )
:)

More Mom's Day and Diva Cards

This Card the Image and Sentiment are from Rubbernecker. This is 5X7 in real life and intended for a Mothers day card. the dress is paper pieced from the aged linen slate scraps (from the card below Yesterday's cards) from Paper adventures, the skin tones are prisma markers with some pencil (blush on cheekbones) the swirly pp is from Basic Grey twoscoops line. The swirls are from Inkadinkado and stamped with fresco chalk ink in Mediterranean Tide. There is some Versamagic aspen mist ink on the edges of the stamped panel.
This card the chef diva is colored with prima pencils on Georgia pacific 110. she was stamped with versafine onyx black. the sentiment is from Impress and stamped with stayzon on blue shimmer cardstock the corners were done with the SU ticket corner punch, and this is up on popdots. the pp is from Basic grey twoscoops line, ( i picked this up when i took Alice to Medford in Feb. a month ago with the intentions of making mom's day cards with it) The mini brads are from lasting Impressions and the pink texture cardstock is Bazzill. This ones 6 inches square in real life.
This is my other new diva who came in the mail yesterday (Vivian) now it's funny but, I have an aunt named Vivian and her hair is really long... :) These I have not added a sentiment to them yet because, I have not decided who i am sending them to yet. the ribbon and the button are unknown. but, i bought them and that pink pp at the same time i picked up the two scoops pp. this ones 5X7 in real life.
This one the sentiments from Inky antics. And done in Chocolate Chip dye ink of course. ;)
Nearly the same only the ribbon is going through the slotted button like a slider. The Pink printed paper mat is from My Minds Eye.
This one the vintage lady is from Rubbernecker, she's colored with prisma pencils except for her skin is a marker. the sentiment is from Hero Arts and stamped with versafine crimson red. and up on popdots. the yellow ribbon is from Making Memories and the brad is from Lasting Impressions. the yellow texture cs is from Bazzill and the red shimmer cs is unknown.

todays cards

This one the floral is from PSX and colored with prisma pencils, there is some tea dye and old paper distress ink on the torn edges. the Sentiment SU (circle of friendship) is stamped on a scrap of pale blue shimmer cardstock and up on a popdot. this ones 6 inches square in real life. the brown texture cardstock's from Bazzill and the blue pp is from Paper Adventures.
This frog and sentiment is from Rubbernecker stamps. this one is 5X7 in real life, the dotted pp is from My Minds Eye. the skinny ribbon is May Arts and the grosgrain is from i think that su swap rainy had a few years ago.?
This one is 6inches square and i don't like the colors of it. the background is "worn words" don't remember the color of ink i used but the pink is one of those pinks that retired a few years ago and it doesn't score well anymore think i may end up having to cut up what's left of the pack.
This one i like best, which for me is usually the third times the charm. the stripe pp is from My Minds eye, the ribbons unknown. the green mat is mint melody and the purple mat is color mates med lovely lilac. this ones 5X7 in real life too.

more Puppy Photos

They all went to the Vet yesterday and got their first puppy shots and a clean bill of health and they are already "hunting birds" in the yard at the breeders... we get to bring her home next Tuesday. we do know the one with the pink collar is out of the running the people with first pick have chosen her for sure. the people behind them are leaning towards the one with the black ribbon collar, ( which would thrill us to death) because that leaves the one with the yellow collar in our choice to choose from. ( she was our most favorite of the bunch when we went down there so cross your fingers)

Some Cards from this afternoon

Meet Bunny :) I know this should have had a funny coffee sentiment on the front of it, but all of mine were too big... I am trying really hard to ink up and make something with every stamp I Had to Have... ( esp. since I now have a new (chef Diva RR) on the way to me) This card is 5X7 in real life.Bunny is from Rubber Romance, she stamped with Black ink on GP110. and colored with Prisma Pencils. the Sentiment (Savvy Stamps) is done with Versafine Vintage Sepia ink. the Swirl printed organdy ribbon i have no idea who makes it. The textured cardstocks are from Bazzill and the Printed Paper is from Paper Adventures "Aged Linen Rose" The tan cardstock was run through an D'Vine Swirls cuttlebug embossing folder. The Bunny layer is up on pop dots.
I bought these teeny tiny prima flowers in slim tins a long time ago and have hoarded them pretty much ever since because there are not very many of them inside the tins... ( the cream one with the stem is from Impress and they are more affordable because your not paying for a tin package)
This card is 5X7 in real life. I figure i will just keep making some mom and dad cards even if i end up with too many I know i can send them to Sandy for the troops to use. the All Holidays Sentiment is stamped with Fresco Chalk ink in Blue Grotto color on Very Vanilla cardstock then punched with an Pink size (mega?) scallop rectangle ( as are the pale blue shimmer ones behind it) the dark teal cardstock is unknown and the whole block is up on popdots. the cream organdy ribbon is from Offray and the teal shimmer is unknown.
I had a good afternoon and got my next color combo assignment done today. Whew! What a relief, I was really worried with the puppy coming home on tuesday that I may not have much time to play in the near future, so I am thinking to do a whole bunch of this kind of stuff "ahead" as much as possible this week and weekend. We've been trying to go through and pick up things near the floor level too. ( since she will be small enough to get into anything is my guess) have to get a puppy gate for the office hallway. things like that. pick up puppy food. Plan J's b-day (no sleep) night. or rather he's having a sleep over where I'm sure they wont be asleep till the next morning kind of a thing. Funny thing, the other day i got a text message from Tim while he was hunting. ( I had send one that said Duck Duck Goose??) asking if that was for dinner. He sent back Pig, Chicken or Beef. ( no one got a bird on Sunday) anyways if you close your phone before you hit reply (on mine) then it doesn't give you the option to type back it only gives you the option to "call them back" so i did.
I could hear the phone ring, I could hear Tim's voice. I even knew a couple of things he said to me, but not most of it. So eventually I started talking with and said ok just listen to me, hahaha. Going to really have to work on practicing that one though. It's really hard when you can hear the sound of the tires going down the road and it sounds kinda like air going through the line ( or maybe heavy breathing?) with the words too. I'm to the point now where i expect everything to make noise and sometimes I really wonder how you all deal with this, the noise is non-stop and some days at the very end of the day I feel like I would like nothing better then to just turn it all off. ( which if i give in to that takes me about 5 - 10 minutes to resent the quiet again and put the sound processor back on...) Funny thing, even with the noise's I've decided i really don't like to hear I miss them too when they are gone.

Need a Laugh?

If you haven't been to Andi's blog recently go check this out... http://andisperfectgravy.blogspot.com/2008/03/got-pms-this-is-must-read.html (shhh yes, i AM @work) ;)

Poinsettia on Velvet

I've been doing this make 10 holiday cards per month challenge at Splitcoast this year, and this is my 10th holiday card for March. ( I have 7 Easter cards that are not on the blog yet as one of them is for an Challenge display at the stamp shack haha on me) so, more will come later. This one went together really fast as I had been digging in the green and red scraps the other day for the Jingle Balls card and seen this green velvet paper. ( no idea who makes it i bought it from an online stamp store in Utah like 5 or 6 years ago) and i hoard every little piece of it haha. The PSX Poinsettia is stamped on Georgia Pacific 110 with Black ink and colored with Prisma Pencils. I cut this out and ran it through an 510 Xyron glue machine and learned something new... that little blue glue glob eraser for printed paper does NOT work on velvet paper, so don't look too close at the edges of the petals. You cant see it in the photograph but, i also went over the veins in the leaves with an sakura gelly roll stardust pen. so it has a little bling in real life. The Sentiments from the All Holidays set (SU) and stamped on True Thyme cardstock then punched with an Mega Rectangle punchie. The gingham dot -garnet pp is from Daisy D's and i smeared some colorbox creamy brown chalk ink on the edges. The Ribbons from May Arts and the card is 5 1/2" square in real life.
