Each Moment

I have been making Christmas cards left and right lately and also heat embossing seems to be the "thing" for me at the moment. I go through long periods where I don't want to bother with the mess and then all of the sudden. all of the stamps get done this way haha. The wagon was done in liquid platinum powder from ranger and the branches of the tree & sentiment were done with Stampin up old fashioned olive powder. The star at the top was done with WOW gold on some gold mirror paper & These were all cut with scissors. I did color the wagon with some zig and distress markers, the tree's post and base were done with some Versafine vintage sepia & Olympia green inks.

The tree is from the sold out Bottle brush trees set, The little red wagon is a single stamp, The star is from the Branching out set, and the sentiment is from the Everyday sentiments 4 set. That stripe paper is from Basic grey and the kraft postage stamp frame was cut with an Avery Elle die, the base is textured bazzill and this one finished out at A-6 in real life.
As of this morning the retirement sale for Two Paper Diva's has been bumped up to 40% off store wide.

Random Christmas & Winter Cards

This is a first attempt at coloring this one ( Stamping Bella Frostier) the sentiment is a Tim Holtz Sticker from the holiday chat pack. It's 6" square in real life.

I had gone over the "snow" with a wink of stella pen in clear and this is a cell phone shot that actually picks up the twinkle... ( so for the other cards below when I tell you it has wink of stella, this is what that looks like on those... but, I really don't like how the cell phone changes the colors so much so, I did not shoot the rest of them this way)

This one has 3 different shades of golds on the coloring. I did watercolor the beans and cup on this so, it went a lot faster than coloring it with pencils like I used to. This one is A-6 in real life.

This one was done with the Dirty Dozen November Christmas card challenge in mind, I have not played with this penny black stamp before, the sentiment is from Unity Stamps. This one is 6" Square in real life.

This is also a new to me stamp. from Stamping Bella. I have to look up its name.
The felt ribbon was from Micheals at Christmas time a few years back now and this one is 6" square.

A simplified version, this one is 5 1/2" square. I remembered Dina's frosted gingerbread challenge from a few weeks ago with the heat embossing in white on Kraft and while that was going on, I knew I had "gingerbread" stamps, so I had heat embossed all these krafty ones last night after work and only minimally added some color with markers and a wink of stella pen.

These are both 5 1/2" square in real life, the gingerbread is from PSX and the sentiment is from Stampa Rosa.

This one the dog is from Impression Obsession, and the sentiment is from Dylusions.
It's 5" square in real life.

This one the deer (hero arts) was stamped on the PTI cream with versafine, watercolored slightly then there is some pencil and white gel pen over the top of that with glitter gel pen on the antlers.
This sentiment is from Stampin Up. and its on one of those previously wallpapered use it up DCWV bases.

I did add a red half pearl to the nose.

This one that angel was heat embossed with white on vellum cardstock and the sentiment is a Tim Holtz holiday chat words sticker. the Vellum panel I ran through an Xyron machine for a now adhesive visible look to the card front.

bits and pieces of the wirework were colored with a clear wink of stella pen. but, try as I might it would not show up. that silver is a metallic shimmer paper.
and this one finished out at A-7 in real life.

Booth Anticipation

So, the containers have started coming out of the closet for the booth in a few weeks, and really I have not been that good about turning the scraps into little one of a kind tags and 3" cards this year as I have in the past so, The thought I have at the moment is. you need to fill them up a little and it takes just as much time to make little cards as big ones when they are one of a kind so, hoping to speed it up did these nearly the same. the Aqua mist cardstock tags and the Vellum cardstock are both from PTI and the only thing holding them together is that sheer ribbon. the snowflakes are from SU and the sentiment is from Powerpoppy. I did goof the hole for the one on the top left, and hey, I noticed it in the mug shot thought no big deal there is one extra sentiment on the table just switch it out... then I proceeded to cut the hole for into the second one in exactly the same spot. Yes, that is a true story.
A closer look, I was trying to decide if I wanted them curved or flat and did some of both.

This one was stamped on the cardstock a long time ago and die cut, all I did to this was scribble on some pencil and add some crystal stickles to the snow. its 3X3 in real life.

These sentiments were stamped and die cut a long time ago, so the plaid is washi tape and the excited were colored with glitter gel pens.

The snowflakes are a washi tape and the smile is a Simon Says Stamp die.

This one I believe is Impression Obsession but, the image came out of the container on my coloring desk so, it was just done very quickly with some zig clean brush markers and then I did go over the top with a wink of stella. It's A-2 in real life and very simple.

To see the bling you probably have to click on the mug shot to enlarge it, just hit your browsers back button to return to this post.

When I first got these mums I had stamped off a stack of them, some with ink's some heat embossed ( liquid platinum used here) and so, this one was also done a while ago. I just added some zig clean brush markers to it, and I assembled it using this neat card in Jeanne's gallery as a jump start as she is this week's featured stampers. changes were to reverse the layers, so the torn edge is down and the string is on the image panel. The background of this is an old watercolor paper that I used to soak up old Paas Easter egg dye a few years back. ( it takes a while for the vinegar smell to fumigate so, this one was good to go)

A closer look at the blooms ( Wplus9) So, I am thinking that as slow as I move anymore I am probably not going to be taking as much as I have in years past and that will just have to be good enough. (to the booth) I did have that grandpa gentleman from last spring who had asked me to do custom personalized cards for his teenage and grown grandchildren last spring. and ( their birthdays were this fall) and he stopped in to tell me he is now grandpa of the decade for doing that... so, he asked if I would do them for Christmas cards for them all. ( but, this time I can do what ever I want for the cards just as long as the names are on them) :) so, somewhere ( probably after the booth I need to do that) but, my brain is totally caught up in those now so, I may have to do them first so, I can stop worrying about it.

Birthday's & Thank-You's!

Good Morning, my studio has gone into serious produce things quickly for the booth to fill up those baskets, tray's and suitcases for the next couple of weeks so, I will have posts with multiple ideas in them for the next little while. This one was done (because, I really need more Christmas cards) you can see that right? that the can being gingham and paper pieced onto the wood grain would become a rustic watering can display right? ( and then the more I looked at it the more I thought this needs to be a Birthday card instead.) The can & flowers are a single set from Two Paper Diva's called Bloom Wildly. and this sentiment is from the new Everyday sentiments 4 set. This ribbon is from May Arts, the gingham print is from Authentique "wonder" pad, the wood grain is from My Minds Eye, the Cream is from Papertrey ink. the oval was cut with a simon says stamp stitched die and the sentiment was cut with a nellie snellen tags 3 die.

A closer look, the Flowers were colored with water based markers on the Neenah cardstock and the centers of the red blooms have some white gel pen on the dots and the centers of the gold blooms have some kaiser craft half pearls on them. This card is A-6 in real life.

Now this is something I used to do a lot of and did not do too many this year along the way. 3X3 sized notes. And it was the first thing I thought of when I seen this grater inside the What's Cookin' set. I had once upon a time found these vintage metal graters and I used them as great big gift tags for a couple of our friends one Christmas a few years ago. Each of these graters were heat embossed with Ranger liquid platinum powder on either a double sided grey scrap or solar white smooth ( Neenah) with the dark grey because it is two pieces of 110 stuck together I found I could not cut the inside of the handle with a gryo cutter tool. so, I ended up taking the top corner off the right side of the bottom left grater and then heat embossed a second grater onto that white card to paper piece it into place. on the one stamped on white they are colored with a zig clean brush and the other dark grey ones have some white gel pen inside the ( under the handle) The bases on these are all textured DCWV card and the lacy edged one was cut with a spellbinders die. so, they are similar and not exactly the same.

This one also uses stamps from the What's Cookin' set. the grater, colander & whisk were all heat embossed with liquid platinum powder, the spice jar was embossed with Stampin stuff terra cotta powder, and the bowl was embossed with SU old fashioned olive powder. These were colored with Caypso Coral, Bordering Blue & Peeled Paint markers. The crochet lace is from May Arts, the stripe paper is from the jillibean soup Christmas eve pad, The sentiment was stamped on some papertrey ink cream and die cut with a conversation bubble die. This one is also A-6 in real life. And each of these sets are still in stock as I linked to them this morning. The percent off sale comes off automatically and you do not need a code to take advantage of it. Thanks for stopping by.

WOYWW # 387 {before & after}

Happy Wednesday, if you'd like to play along with us the link up starts here at our hostess Julia's blog.
My before shot on Tuesday after work as my birthday was Sunday and I had some happy mail arrive on Monday afternoon also so, I had spread it around trying to decide where to start.  and that happened to be with the pile on the right from Two Paper Diva's. My brain got totally stuck on those graters in the set because, I had a few years back found vintage metal graters that I decorated (slightly) and used as great big gift tags for a couple of our friends. I wish that these graters were not so hard to come by in reality because, I would totally do these for the booth. and with that thought in mind and also a pervious push from June I ended up making these.

This is just a peek shot I will end up doing a TPD post tomorrow on Thursday like usual, so these were all heat embossed with liquid platinum powder and the one on the bottom left taught me I cannot cut double thickness cardstock with a gyro cutter so, I whacked off the right side of the top handle and just heat embossed a second one on the white so that the colored scrap part of the grater could paper piece into it.

and this is how I walked away from it all.

Birthday Gifts

So, these are in the order that they arrived for my birthday this year and this one came from Olga at scs BRAK. it has awesome textures that were hard to capture with a camera.

This one came from Tricia and the colors are even prettier in real life.

This one came all the way from Ireland and Sabrina and that stitching the thread is like what is the word Metallic and blingy. ( very cool layers of texture all over )

This one came from Nylietta and was also from the BRAK at SCS.
isnt that mummy jar a hoot?

This one was made by my friend at work June, those ribbons are iridescent in real life and that is all popped up and dimensional.
Goodies from June. The birds are bling-y chipboard stickers and that washi tape is gold roses. ( so pretty)

And this haul came from my son. This has really impressed me so much the last couple of years that he has voluntarily gone into craft shops where he is stationed and picked these out to send them. The beans are very blingy on the card in person also.

We had a pretty peaceful weekend but, this cold has been ongoing and lingering. ( the people who can do "open burning" have started doing that kind of thing, plus some people here have their wood stoves going on green days so the air quality has gone to smog city in my lungs.

but, the cool news is we, Hubs and I ordered energy efficient heaters for our house last week and they are supposed to get delivered to the store today ( this means they should "not" be blowing dust around when the fans are blowing on the heaters) ( cross your fingers I am hopeful it is true) :)
