Bluebird of Happiness...

So, last year when we were driving across the state to my dr.'s office and back we had seen they finally opened that hobby lobby store in Eugene, so I drug hubs in there because, so far when we traveled the times we had open to "shop" were usually on Sundays... and he came across this art Impressions stamp and said, can you do this for my dad next year and I thought sure... ( but, its kind of scary looking this bird yes? I like their chicken stamps much better) anyways, I am running out of time and cannot put it off anymore so, I thought lets see where the IC challenge went today... and it went to a tumbler site filled with gowns... and I laughed and laughed. so many cool textures they started to blur in my mind after pages of them but, I kept coming  back to this one below because of the rows of buttons. This was stamped with versafine on the smooth side of some ranger wc paper. the corrugate came out of a DCWV pad and the fabric brads are from Making Memories. that frame was cut with a Mama Elephant park ave die and its from some navy star dream shimmery card.

but, the whole time I was coloring that first bird ( I used the index sticker on the block as a guide with a handful of water based markers I had on the table upstairs) I kept thinking you should color this bird blue it just may be funnier... so, I did. this one the white scraps frame is up on foam above the kraft frame and the gauze texture paper is from DCWV. These are both 6" square in real life.

Oh, Stacy, I LOVE both of these! Hehe! What a fun and funny stamp, and I'm so glad hubby made you get it! It's perfect! And I love both versions too, and what a great Inspiration Challenge card...just loved looking at some of those amazing (and some weird) dresses! Hugs, and keep warm! xoxo
