WOYWW #320 (mounting stamps)

only a bit of a mess. hahahaha the link up for this blog hop starts here at our hostess Julia's blog

well you see its like this... I am kinda sorta working on dirty samples. ( you are getting ready to play along with us right? DTGD is coming August 1st. so, you have plenty of time to renew your fan club membership at Splitcoaststampers if needed) and I turned around and I "seen" that pile of boxes of cut up rubber from club scrap from what a month ago? I "think" there may be things in there I would want to use if I knew what was in there was the stray thought so, on monday instead of continuing making samples I got sidetracked and put the cling foam on every piece of rubber. and then I remembered my last few LOTV stamps were also neekid in the dresser... so, dug those out and got them done too. and I "vowed" to come inside and sit at the computer and unsubscribe to every one of those co. that does not offer their stamps on cling foam. did I do it? ( no ) but, the sticky disaster-ness of this is still fresh in my mind on Wednesday am looking at this photo again so, I know it will be a long long time before I do it again. anyways, off to the sides are bits and pieces I am pushing around. after the stamps were cleaned up  ( glue got on the rubber ) and the backing papers all removed I did get another sample done. something way different then I normally make and I kinda like how it turned out. I am going to flood this blog with "additional" photos of things that don't end up in the gallery as it happens. across the top are a few things I colored and finally took upstairs yesterday after work and off to the right is a new set from Unity and a new set from Dylusions. and then the mail came... and I got the bird crazy dies delivered. and I looked at that and thought why did you buy these? ( for 5 birds there are 18 dies) so, I think I am going to have to play with those today and see if I can figure out why I ordered them ( besides the hype) my first impression was you have not done so bad with cutting them out and paperpiecing them as of yet but, the whole body dies do include the feet and tail curls so we will see. I am going to be in and out making the rounds mostly I am getting ideas for samples while watering and weeding and not online as much right now.

I hate that sticky hard to cut mess from mounting stamps on foam. That's why I don't do it anymore. I use the Club Scrap glue that sticks and sticks again. Don't bother with Aileen's Tack it Over, that stuff is no good. But the Club Scrap stuff is real good. Mostly though I don't bother with UM stamps unless they are acrylic cling. It sounds like you have been busy futzing around with your stamps and finding things to create. It is fun to just putz around like that. Judy #51

I should think you feel ready for some outside time after doing all those stamps. It's something I hate doing even more than the ironing! All those stamps on your desk do look inviting though. Have a lovely week.Barb#29 xx

I must admit, I'm with Judy on this. I stopped getting the foam for nekkid rubber stamps a while ago, and went over to TIOO. Took a while to figure the TIOO out though, for getting the right strength. Bless the ladies at SCS for all the help! Have a great week,Hugs,Shaz #11 xxx

Hi Stacey, happy WOYWW and thanks for your visit. Seems I've been collecting ribbon for years and they were all over the place in different bags so my big clean up got them sorted into colours and I've used a fold back clip to keep them all together so I can easily get them out of the jars. I do have little zip lock bags with short pieces as well - now hopefully I'll use for ribbon. And I have some rubber stamps that need backing, if you get a minute could you tell me what stuff you're using and how it helps with the stamps. Have a wonderful week cheers RobynO#9

The bird dies sound fun so I must have a scout around for them.
