So this mix challenge this week is to do Red, White & Blue... and I seen that but, I didn't really have any thoughts about something to make for it. and I had picked up this Kaisercraft printed paper recently ( its kraft colored under the blue paint) with printed black butterflies all over it, and I cut off a corner to be 5 1/2" square and I noticed this striped design one on the cut off piece and it just became red and white from there. its colored with some red distress marker, red prisma pencil and white gel pen. the go navy is twinkling H2O's watercolor paint.
the sentiment is from SU ( I think ) and was stamped with versafine and cut out with that labels trio die some time ago. the red lace is vintage, the dot ribbon and irridescent cord are both from May Arts. the painted panel is up on pop dots as it dried pretty wrinkly and I kinda liked it.
I picked up this SU set ( fishy friends?) at a yard sale last month and water colored this one with those aqua markers a while back ( and it just did not want to lay flat so, I die cut it and glued it to my cutting mat on my table for days trying to get it to lay flat) the yellow frame was a scrap piece that I cut the outside edge just to use it. that part is up on pop dots. the card base is pre made and this is A-2 in real life.

That butterfly card is quite striking! Your fishy card looks wet, great coloring!
Awesome cards! I just love the butterfly card especially with the red, white and blue!
