Today

I guess I need to go back to yesterday for a minute so you get the whole story, but the newest B&H catty hit my office desk at work yesterday am and so flipping through it has a lot of "call for price" {which 1/2 the site is that way too, you have to click on each thing to see what they are charging that day for it~ so annoying!} at any rate, came across the page that had Leica's S2/S2p and its current price is only a little under 28K (body only mind you len's sold separate) and this just about gave June heart failure. so the conversation went because, every so often I come across old camera's at yard sales and I've collected a few and I mentioned when i get the home office/study/computers printer room done I want to have a shelf all the way around the room at the top to put old camera's on and such... gear, not picky just interesting stuff. fun to look at. And she got a funny look on her face and said "oh, i have an old brownie" and i said really ( she normally buys disposable camera's when she wants a photo of something so, this was an surprising thing for her to say ) those are spendy even the broken ones if you see them online, so i said Don't stick it in a yard sale for a quarter or anything... and she said no, its in a box i know where it is...It arrived on my desk at work this morning as a "gift" from June because, she likes the idea it would be out and enjoyed rather then packed in a box. She doesn't remember how it works just that it does and she used it for a Mazama Highschool class way back when. She doesn't remember how she got it, ( I can flip up the top but, haven't figured out how it works yet either) the others are on a very small shelf across the room from the main table on the wall above the heater. now these I don't know what they are or how they work. the leather cased one on the left was a total impulse buy last summer for 5.00 then the Kodak movie tins followed at a few different yard sales then the black one ( which folds up pretty flat actually ) was last. So not a whole room's worth of shelf display yet but the hunt is on. So today I have been home more then at work because, migraine is building. got it mostly under control at the moment and spent some time coloring the other fergus I stamped yesterday when the happy mail arrived. added an actual "birthday" sentiment to this one, for the challenge blog from Paper & Such. This is 6" square in real life. the Fergus with tulips is an clear stamp from wild rose studio. the sentiments from penny black. the Carolee's printed paper was die cut in the middle with an labels 15 die to create the window frame effect and the sentiment was die cut with an scrapmart spellbinders die. ( the package does not say what they named it, just that it was made for their store ~ yes, I'm rolling my eyes ) there is a bit of amber clay colorbox fluid chalk on the edges of that and the burlap string wraps through the holes and across the back of it under pop dots. all in all ( swallow LA ) its what *I* think of as CAS.
