Swingin Z Anniversary Card

Vintage Lace, the dangling charm says "made with Love" this was the first attempt at an Swinging Z-fold card... loved the tutorial when it came out last week, ( did not read the directions just watched the video) so what my brain took from it was score it at half, score it at a quarter, then when you cut your shape, use an Xacto to start the cut, then use scissors for the rest of it... I think what i learned doing this card was,(its not as easy as she makes it look in the video but, its not "hard" either) it works better if you use a busier paper on the part you will cut the shape into and use the Xacto knife for the entire cut ( seen the previous Christmas Ornament one? ( much smoother looking around the edges) The Love is from the Gina K set called Lovely Labels ( as is the wishing you sentiment on the center inside heart) The swirl stamp ( inside back left panel) is from Inkadinkado, the Happy Anniversary in the inside back of the card is from Rubber Stampede. Inks are Versafine Crimson Red, Memento Rhubarb Stalk, and Distress victorian Velvet. the tiny heart mini brad and the two larger burgundy brads are unknown, the lace is vintage, this printed paper is from Die Cuts with a View "botanical Script" the plain distressed burgundy pp is from MME ( thin costco pad stuff) there is an layer of pop dots between the scalloped heart diecut and the mat, that is gold liquid pearls in the scallops. with some Martha Stewart Champagne half pearls along the top corner. textured Bazzill cardstocks. This is inside the Z part. Mounted the Z part of the card to an 6" square card ( to counter balance the weight) also lined the back side of that card. Inside the last layer of this card. color dusted the distress ink through the nestie while the die was still in it, then just swiped it with a baby wipe after to remove the ink. Wrights hemming lace on this one needed it to be able to close so did not do pop dots or other dimensions inside this layer.

I love this card.

Will you share directions?

the directions are a direct link to the tutorial on split coast stampers ( they are the grey words that say swing z fold card at the beginning of the post)

usually the different colored words are a direct link to something on my blog. :)
but basically in a nut shell you just score your cardstock in half then again at 1/4 but, fold the second score the other direction. take a shape and put it where you want to cut half of it on that second score line. as I added printed paper to the sides of it i scored the paper before i glued it to the cardbase. On this particular card i added and square 6X6 piece to the back of the z fold for an extra counter weight place to write. the Christmas card posted last weekend is the same thing without that last 6" square.
