Friend Like You

Gina K Designs friends are forever sentiment. Crimson Red Versafine ink with some Victorian Velvet Distress... got carried away with the distress ink on the first version ( juicy newer pad) and so did it a second time and cut it out along the edges of where the embossed edge starts and layered it over the top.
I started this card looking at Tami's blog
( she's got a set of sketches and color combo's from SCS to mix and match for a blog challenge and right before i turned off the computer i looked at the stamp tv inspiration challenge, so with that in mind... this is an mish mash of several things, the SC239 sketch, some of the colors of the CC58 and this Brides Magazine Cover Inspiration page. So since it doesn't really fit any of them i wont link it to them.
Started this card by pulling out sheets of always artichoke and certainly celery (which didnt make the card) and realized i do not own pixie pink... so then i spied this multi pack of Couture Cardstock called "a Rose by any other name" and the two pink/burgundy textured cardstocks came out of that... Have been stamping sentiments on my scrap strips of cardstock trying to use some of it up and had this sentiment stamped and diecut already so just messed around with some layers until it looked right. ( then checked all the challenges and thought you know better then to rely on your memory) lol.
the embossed panels were done with an Sizzix folder (don't know its name) the sentiment panel was done with Spellbinders Labels 4 & 13 and fancy tags, the button brads and silk flowers "love struck" are Making Memories. the Lace is vintage. the textured cream cardstock is from Sundance Felt "natural white" the black linen texture and smooth cream is from Neenah papers.
