Yard Sale loot

I have found over the last few years so many vintage button's its not even funny... this was the most recent batch.

also found on the same day different yard sale and oak spool rack.

that I had a suspicion would hold washi tape... and it does... and I can see it all at a glance and have room to grow the collection. ( you know this stuff breeds in the dark right?) ;) so, this was a good 3.00 spent. The basket was over flowing and the wooden bobbins and spools would not stay on the table. ( the plastic costco table moves too much when I'm playing )

fairly recent cards

as soon as I seen this Verve sentiment it pushed me off the fence into ordering from them for the first time to use it with this Unity stamp... I think they go together pretty well. the gal is colored with copic's this is 5 1/2" square in real life, I did pick up other Verve sentiments at the same time and am hoping to play with them soon.

this was an experimental stamped image that just made it onto a card because, it wasn't that bad.. picked up this noble deer set at a yard sale for 5.00 and it had not been trimmed at all. This is A-6 in real life.

This year I did something I dont normally do, but these were made when it was boiling hot so in an effort to get it done and get out of the attic they all got the same card in the mail this fathers day...

The bases's are gina K leather tan which has a texture to it, the espresso cardstock was run through a herringbone folder in the bigshot. the deer was stamped with Versafine on Neenah and the pale green is also from Neenah. these are 5 1/2" square in real life.

Art Impressions Stamps, the birdbrain Chick was colored with Copic's and cut out. just for laugh's I've had the sentiment for years and just got around to getting this chick. ( which I resemble every time we go to a Ren Faire ) lol, This is 6" Square in real life. The printed papers are from Graphic45's french country line photo corners are from Pioneer.
.

This guy cracks me up... and was a challenge to color, not real crazy about the train but, this was a first try. (eta: the shading on the metal parts of the train will have to google some soon and see what real train's look like) he was stamped on Neenah and colored with copic's and metalic markers and cut out. the sentiment is an older hampton arts dollar bin stamp. this is 6" square in real life. the printed papers are from Diecuts with a view and hunt and gather line from Kaiser craft.

this sentiment ( IO ) I've had for years because, it made me grin... no clue what to do with it, then I seen they had this book background recently and picked one up during the last sale so ... ta-da it was a Use-able stamp... lol we wont count how many have not been played with yet eh? this is 6" square in real life.

Just a closer look, for Lane McGregor. ( his parents should have received this one in the mail already)

Its 6" square in real life the stitched looking square is from Daisy D's the dotted mat and the quilted mat are from Die Cuts With a View. the onesie is an MFT die and the elephant is an Martha Stewart punchie. The sentiments from Hero Arts and cut with an Spellbinders tag die. The lace is vintage and the ribbon is from WalMart a few years ago.

just for fun, the colors are not my usual. this ones 5 1/2" square in real life. the sentiment is from SU the gal is from Saturated Canary. the printed papers are scraps.

some diamond glaze on her eyes and yellow and stardust stickles on the dress.

Enlistment

Our son, successfully enlisted in the Marines a few days ago on his first try. He's been aiming for this for a few years now and so, it was nerve wracking to watch from the sidelines and it is hard to express how I feel about this but, I came across this Impression Obsession stamp that does it in a way that makes sense to me so the inside is a message for him from us. This is 6" square in real life. printed paper is from Carta bella as is the brad.

VSN dog days of summer

one of the challenges in this VSN is to CASE a card from LuvLee's gallery... and this is the card I chose.
and this is a copy and paste about what I wrote about it in the scs gallery... because, there really isn't anything extra to add. except here is a direct link to the challenges if you are so inclined to play along.
Let me start with I have been lucky enough to receive cards from Lee in the mail and I have always every time been surprised by how much they weigh ;) and I told my self you can do a Lee card IF you pick one you do not have to color ( in the time limit) so I chose this gorgeous card. and I *think* I actually got every layer in for once, so it surprised me when I was done how much mine weighed lol. This is A-6 in real life, the changes I made were I switched out the stamp set because, I don't have that particular set, so that meant changing the top stamped panel to a piece of printed paper and the ribbons were switched to vintage lace with some trim. the center panel is up on pop dots because the lace layer is lumpy. Lee I hope you like it and your wrists start healing up soon Chickie!!! Thanks for this challenge Misti, this is the first thing I have made in a while that I am pleased with how it turned out.
