So, this is a different kind of a post for me. recently I was asked if I would like to be an guest designer for the Paper and Such stamps store and of course I said yes. :) This is a sneak peek at a new stamp set coming out next week called Heart Strings. This card uses the embroidery hoop/ cloth image, the stitched home and if you look closely at the sentiment the word sweet also looks like cross stitching. (any photo of this blog can be clicked on to enlarge)
When I first seen this set I instantly thought oh you could do some really fun welcome home or congratulations on your new home type cards with this. ( this set also comes with other images and sentiments that are also being peeked here and there before the release)
On this particular card, the sentiment is stamped on some Neenah classic cream and die cut with an spellbinders grommet tags die this layer is up on pop dots above the chatterbox fancy tags die. there are some creamy colored pearls on both layers. The hoop and cloth image is stamped on some chatterbox pp that has an linen type texture print on it and the hoop was colored with an marker. the home was stitched onto this also then a second image stamped on some smooth Neenah and colored with copic's was paper pieced to the base image. Used some leather tan seambinding for the large bow and some cream hemp string for the top bow. the button is vintage, thought the tim holtz pins were kind of different and would pick up the circles from the others on this card rather then doing actual sewing pins. The bo bunny pp is machine stitched to the black with dots pp. the card base is some speckletone sand and this card is 5" square in real life.
