Relax & Go Fish!

This little guy jumped in the cart from the last lotv order also ( yes, I am rolling my eyes) what can I say? they are fun to color for sure. :) (copic's and a white gel pen)

funny thing, this card started being built with the fabric patterned grey-ish Anna Griffin printed paper, so, its funny how BRIGHT it got along the way... the arygly-ish pp is from MME. sentiment's from IO, Pleated satin is from SU. the base is Marigold Morning and this ones 5 1/2" square in real life.

Sunday's batch

Done for today's fs challenge. So, I seen a lot of cool cards in Laura's gallery last night but, this one really struck home because, I knew that I could do "something" with it as inspiration. So, I have changed this card to a Christmas design in a portrait upright direction and switched the heart for a star and the flowers for vintage buttons. this is A-6 in real life, and thanks for this challenge Julie!

Had orignally decided to try and do a stack of those Christmas cards for July as that makes card one for July but, that paper backgrounder image came to me via either the PIF or the wish rak threads years ago, and I dont have anymore of them. so, before I made that card I had cut both of the larger sizes of stars from the spellbinders die set on some Gina K kraft ( since its the thickest) and then I thought I will run the negative pieces through the paper crimper too and put something behind them window style... die cut negative images do not like going through the paper crimper... ripped both of them. so that left me with this one smaller star so made a Christmas tag for Tim, has some diamond glaze on the letter sticker inside the MM tag. sentiment's from SU.

This one's been sitting on the table pretty much all week because, once I had the vintage trim sewn to the printed papers and the back cut off that earring ( a yard sale find ) I really didn't like it much anymore. So she is colored with copic makers and up on pop dots, the sentiments from Art Impressions and this ones 5X7 in real life.

Just a simple one, stamped and embossed this doily months ago on this tag and its been sitting on the table since, added this SU sentiment and colored the reinforcer with an Copic marker and tied on some vintage lace and added a K & Co. pearl and called it done.

Penny Black what creation cat colored with gray copic markers and the pp is unknown. this ones hmmm either 4" or 4 1/2" square in real life, ( forgot already)

Bingo Jean was colored a while back with copic's and has been sitting on the table a while too. ( the pile went down a teeny bit today ) this ones 3" square in real life.

a Penny Black image colored with copic markers added some black glaze to the dots on the ladybug and some yellow stickles to the center of the daisy to this and set it aside to dry a while back. so this one's 4" in real life also. SU sentiment, unknown baking twine.

an Art Impressions guy ( these I have a pile of these stamps and all that all of them say is Art Impressions, so no clue what his "name" is, but I see other people know these characters by name...)
this is also an not standard size. 3 1/2" X 6 1/2" the ribbon is may arts, the sentiment is from SU. ( probably a free gift set as the rubber is purple)

Sending Blessings

This is something of an experiment for me, stained a bunch of shipping regular manila shipping tags with ranger distress inks one day a month or two ago and set them aside. so, this tag was stained with Old paper distress, then the image and sentiment ( Unity Stamps every breath) another design by Phyllis Harris was stamped direct on this with memento and then colored with the following copic markers:

Skin:E000,00,11,R20
Hair: E34,E57,E47
Stem & Hair band: YG67
Dress: G20,40,43,82
Reinforcer ( on the tag) YG63 (both sides)
Ground: E84,87
bloom: white gel pen

This is 5X7 in real life, the lace is vintage, the textured vellum leaf print is machine sewn to a layer of river rock cs. This is pretty flat in real life.

crappy days {floral}

This Unity set made me laugh out loud the first time I seen a card done with it... so, I've finally added it to my collection. this particular one the roll is paper pieced onto the floral pp ( an unknown scrap) and the tiny bit of copic marker on it. the lace is vintage, the huge paper clip is unknown.tied the sentiment on with a bit of May Arts irridecent thread. ( probably gonna have to remember to order another spool of this as much as I use it) and the photo corners are from Heidi Swapp. the kraft text pp is from basic grey and the card base is river rock. so, this one's 5 1/2" square in real life.

Pastels Kitty Love

Funny thing I think every time I have ever colored any of the Penny Black cat stamps they almost always end up as some variation of orange ( tiger stripes) so, this time coloring the how bout a hug kitty I tried for some of the paler shades of E copic's and I like how this one turned it. it has a little more color then this photo show's but, when I lighten these photos so they dont look so dark on desktop monitors its washing out some of the colors on laptop monitors. It was die cut with an spellbinders labels 2 die and is up on pop dots. the shipping tag was dye'd with left over paas Easter egg dye a few years ago. the reinforcer was colored over with an Krylon copper leafing pen. the lace is vintage, the satin is offray. the love charm dangle the mfg. is unknown. ( I got it in one of those tiny online stamp stores will look for them and edit later) the lace paper under that is from My Minds Eye. the green strip is Neenah seagrass, the cardbase is Pear Pizzazz and is 5 1/2" square in real life. the for you is from SU and done in Versafine Spanish Moss on a scrap punched with an eksuccess the end was trimmed with mini pinking shears, the Heart brad is MM.

6.20.2012

Oh Boy! {another pirates card} lol

So, here is another of the images from the old old SU "little boys" set colored with copic's. This ones A-6 in real life. the stripe pp is from the cosmo cricket wanted pad, the blue is unknown, a scrap of green bazzill. some spellbinders dies. this card is pretty flat too. no bumps.

6.13.2012

Daisy with yellows

So I had to laugh doing this card after the last one because it is so yellow. and or looked good with yellow things after this version of Daisy was colored with copic's. there is a bit of buttercup liquid pearls on the flowers of the image. and both the daisy panel and the sweetcorn layer are up on pop dots. so there was room to do a "fake" bow with that 7/8 ribbon.

Sugar Nellies Daisy, stamped on Neenah. die cut with an labels 2 die, the sentiments from Impression Obsession stamped on a scrap of speckletone sand and the stripe pp is from websters pages. the base is Neenah's columns this is 6" square in real life.

Sunny Side

Seen the house mouse challenge this week was here comes the sun #HMFMC121
and thought hmmm, I'm not really into yellow and the stamps I have with a summery type theme are really limited so, that made this one a real challenge. This sunny side up mouse is colored with copic markers:

Skin: E30,42,R00,R30
Fur: E44,47,71,43
Petals: Y23,24,27,32,26
Stem/Leaves: YG97,95,93,63

This one's 6" in real life, the green texture base is Bazzill, the brown pp is from basic grey, the green text pp is from daisy bucket designs, the edge was punched with an SU handheld punch. the yellow velvet is vintage, the sentiment's from IO done in rusty hinge on a scrap of speckletone sand. the tag scrap was run through an spellbinders die in the cuttlebug. the brad is from MM and used some creamy brown fluid chalk ink along the edges of the image panel.

Sunday's Projects

for fun, its blank. SU Oriental Paintings stamped on Neenah Seagrass with Memento and colored with copic markers, cut out with deckle scissors. the edges were inked with creamy brown fluid chalk ink. the mat is Neenah tarragon cs. the scrap of seagrass was run through an cuttlebug Oriental weaving folder, the mat under that is some shimmery pp die cuts with a view, the lace is vintage. the mini brads are from recollections. the base is stardream serpentine shimmery cardstock. this ones 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" in real life.

Hub's dad's fathers day card. Art Impressions stamps, the guy is colored with copic's. this ones 6" square in real life. the sentiment was stamped on some PTI vintage cream and inked over with shabby shutters distress ink. the fiber is unknown, the yellow mat under the guy is bazzill, the layer under that is DCWVm the stripe pp is Basic Grey. Blue burlap string is from American Crafts.

Stamping Bella image stamped with Memento on Neenah colored with copic's bought this one a year ago with the intentions of doing an anniversary card for the grands. ( in a couple of weeks they will hit 62 years married) the sentiment's from Penny Black. the stripe pp is from Magenta. the mat is seagrass neenah. this ones 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" in real life.

Paper and such deer stamped with versafine on a scrap, then colored with distress markers. not really impressed with the distress markers but, I don't color with my su or tomobo's much either. got these to hit missing spots stamped with the pads... but, surprise. not all the colors match. colored the first image stamped this way with the marker below... green is not a deer's color lol

So, now I guess I need to check/compare all the pads and all the markers.. I know my stain in the old paper color tends to lean a little green so it was not a surprise the marker looks that way. but, this one is not even close to matching. so wondering if its a fluke and they just had a bad batch or if all the corduroy markers are green instead of brown. ( gonna check the craft store that sells them in person next time I'm in there.) ( I ordered these online as a pack to save a few dollars buying them all on a "pre order" )

An old PSX image, stamped with Memento on some PTI vintage cream colored with copic's.
The black sheer organdy is unknown, but probably generic. its on the scratchy side. the sentiment's from stampendous. the brads are MM. the mat under the wolf is from is from MME, the layer under that is from websters pages. the brown is Gina K chocolate. card base is 5 1/2" square.

another one of those old old sets its a blast to figure out they are large enough to color with copic's.
did the boys in the barrel being pirates too. this ones 5 1/2" square in real life. the sentiment's from My sentiments exactly. the round tag is an Memory box die cut. the green and blue burlap string is from American Crafts. the stripe pp is from October afternoon. the blue layer under that is Basic Grey. the mats are soft sky and the base is tarragon Neenah.

so, its been a lousy couple of weeks. this one was needed already. the lace is vintage.
thought's and prayers stamped on seagrass with versafine. the bisque liquid pearls were dry when this was die cut to that shape so it smooshed them a bit. the shimmery pp under that is DCWV, the cardbase is speckletone sand. ( same stuff that was stamped on and colored with copic's on yesterday's cards) kinda a yellowish tinted kraft coversheet.
this ones 5X7 in real life.

for the faire, Viva Las Vegas stamps, on neenah colored with copic's scrap of retired su purple that I cant spell it and spell check can't guess it even close enough to make it a real word. there how's that for a name? run through an oriental weave folder. the bling brad is from recollections. spellbinders tag die. ( trimmed) the pp, I cant think of the mfg of the name of this. I know it. or I should know it, I have a big pack of it that I won years ago from some contest, ( different pattern ) they are "modern" so it was funny to me they came out with a pad I thought I could use some of the papers on it. ( modern flowers with some outlined bling reminds me of Manhattan flowers actually ) but. minds still blank. this ones 5 1/2" square in real life.

Sympathy Branches

Not sure I like this one for a sympathy card its maybe a little bit too pink. But I needed one last friday and I did not feel like making a black card. the thought was send a hug in an envelope. so, I like this sentiment.
image and sentiment are stamped with versafine on a piece of rice paper (that is the top layer, its like see-through mulberry paper texture) which too much of the bo bunny paper showed through so lined it with a green scrap of old basic grey green distressed pp. and the bloom parts have some liquid pearls (bisque) This is from the SU set called Thoughts and prayers.  the lace is vintage. this is 5" square in real life.

so, while I was debating the pink part grabbed some scraps and stamped it a few more times on them, so you will see more of this design sooner or later. I ended up having my family sign the pink version, this one is 5 1/2" square in real life.

3" gift card note's done with some of the scraps.

Old Stamps... Colored with Copic's

this is one of my all time favorite stamps, and I have not inked her in years ( hampton arts) she's stamped with memento cocoa on a piece of Neenah. ( not white or cream have to find the pack) its actually almost a yellowish kraft paper if I remember right. ( she's also still drip drying)

colored her with copic's and added the well scripted. some gellyroll stardust pen is also on this image.

this ones 5X7 in real life, ton's of old prima mulberry flowers with the tiny purple ones are from Impress or doddlebug. and some buttercup liquid pearls.

this image came to me via wish rak years ago, and I suspect it's stamped with versafine as every time I got a marker too close to the image I did get some smearing. (SU seaside sketches) this ones A-6 in real life with some scraps on the table, the board pp is from MME I think. the check is unknown, the sinamay ribbon is a scrap off the turtle card below. This sentiment is from lili of the Valley. ( it comes with the fairy hugging a teddy bear stamp)

sentiments from Penny Black, the belly dancer is from Viva Las Vegas stamps, May Arts ribbon, MME pp. the burgungy cs between the PP's is coodinations. this ones 6" square in real life.

Judi kins lure stamped on Neenah with Memento, colored with copics. the shipping tag was stained with old paper distress. the sentiment's from SU and the ribbons are unknown.

can't remember this turtles SU set name anymore either. someday when I'm really ambitious I will dig out all my stamp catalogs and write on all the old sets wood blocks... not any time soon. sentiments from maybe well scripted? ( not sure anymore) the brown is a scrap of unknown cs ran through a what distressed stripes? folder. sinamay ribbon, somee handmade pp, some dcwv pp. the base is kinda very similar to mint melody cs. but, this is 6" square in real life.

A very old PSX lobster shack stamp, done with Memento cocoa on the same color of Neenah as the tea gal above. colored with copic's. ( this is the first time in all these year's I have colored this image. I used to buy only highly detailed stamps, and stamped them as line art. no color. so, its been a fun last few days's coloring the old stuff, and being happy enough with the results to make them into cards instead of pitching them. this ones A-6 in real life, the pp. is from MME and the card base is SU. mind just went blank on the color sorry.

This is 6" square in real life. The check pp is from script scraps, the dot is from Basic Grey, the base is Bazzill. some baking twine and a Memory box die was used on the sentiment.

This one is also 6" square in real life, stamped with Memento on Neenah colored with copic's. the edge was done with the SU hand held punch. the pp is from Theresa Collins, the copper shimmer texture pp is from Provo Craft, the burgundy layer is coordinations victorian velvet and the base is Neenah duplex. The seam binding is unknown. ( was tied to a gift )

another Sweetpea stamp Joanne Schempp's Ancient One, this one I loved it as soon as I seen it but, this is the first time I tried to color him. he's a little intimidating. ( I don't know why) but... anyways. the card it self is 5X7 in real life, the brads are unknown. the sentiment is from an grab bag gift that came to me from Unity Stamps a while back. used Spellbinders dies on scraps for that. the pp is from Basic grey and the purple texture pp is from die cuts with a view. the base is Curious Metallics shimmer.

Someday I will have to figure out how to do "tan" skin tones with copic's I guess that is the intimidating part for him as he ended up with the same colors I use on everyone else.

This spring bringer fairy is from whimsy wee stamps. she's also colored with copic markers and has some buttercup liquid pearls and stardust stickles on her flowers and wings.

The daisy pp is from K & Co. the photo corners are Quickutz diecuts, the sentiments from rubber soul done on an avery tag I had stained with some tumbled glass distress a while back. seambinding bow was also crumpled with water and those daisy's are silk flowers with either lasting impressions matt finish brads or craft buttons in them. this ones 6" square in real life. the base is a piece of embossed vine mist green cardstock from M's many years ago.
