Anniversary {recipe card}
It's a little inside funny to me that the current stamp tv free for all challenge is a recipe ( you have to follow the recipe for the card, and the card i needed to get done most when I was reading about it was for my grandparents upcoming 61st. Because, my gma has spent her whole life cooking ( maybe most people's have but, she really enjoys collecting recipes and cook books and such) and shes' started cooking again. ( she had an drain tube installed from her brain to her stomach lining last fall and has been busy recovering all winter) I think the last time they adjusted how much flow there is really made a difference and so its fun to see her being happy again.
The recipe for this challenge is 2 embellishments, 3 images (sentiment does not count) 4 colors & 5 or more layers. and after I started this card i realized i have no idea how layers are counted. but, they haven't un-tagged this card in the gallery as of yet so I'm assuming I got 5 in. This card measures 5X7 in real life, the base is made from GKD ocean mist, the pp layer above that is from the MME stella rose hattie pad, the martha stewart doily was color dusted with some ranger distress inks in old paper and broken china, the Kraft tag panel is up on pop dots and matted with some gold metallic vellum. the Doily, (small flower at top of tag) are from the GK set called nana needlework, the floral stitch line is from the GK set in stitches, these are all heat embossed with ranger seafoam white powder. the sentiments from the first lovely labels set and stamped with colorbox fluid chalk ink creamy brown, its die cut with an spellbinders grommet tag and matted with chocolate brown cs cut by hand. the two embellishments are an vintage button and vintage lace. ( hoping the hemp string is like sewing threads or pop dots haha) :)

Embossed Snow scraps
Or in other words August 2,3,4,&5 are done... {made a pile of these outlines snowflakes the other day on aquamarine stardream and some brown scraps trying to decide what I wanted to do for their challenge. ( I don't own that many Outlines stamps since I was getting them at stampstruck and have not seen them for sale since they closed) at any rate I think the first card was the best one and these are just "ok" The dot pp is basic grey and i think the base is soft sky.
4 of the smaller snowflakes on an piece of shimmery white with distressed edges and some vintage lace.
stamped the sentiment on some vellum which was a little darker then the shimmery blue cs but, still works OK. attached it with recollections mini brads. ( this one may be crooked ~ not sure yet, may be the camera operator)
Found some bazzill nearly the same color as the vellum for this one. used an friskars mini pinking shears on the shimmery white panel.
gift tags from the scraps...
Probably wont be playing with these snowflakes any time soon, was thinking I would put some into the muffin tin for later but, used them all up.

New A Muse
A few weeks ago I won a brand spankin new A Muse catalog from Tamijo's Blog...And this particular set ( Dr.'s Orders) made me laugh out loud... ( so i put in an order) :)
This particular one is 4" square in real life, stamped the image & sentiment on scraps with memento and added some copic over the top of the cork and hearts. that was a scrap of ribbon too small to use. The base is the black paper from A Muse in the "fall" asst. package, fun thing its white inside so I did not have to line it. ( but, its not heavy duty so, I'm thinking it will work better for CAS cards. did this one color wise for a "guy" and then did the one below for fun...
This one I colored over the hearts with an mica pen, that didn't do much, so outlined the hearts with the same pen... that didn't POP them much either so, added some Christmas Red Stickles to the centers of the hearts and then ended up coloring the whole bottle with an pale pale blue copic. added some tan to the cork.
May Arts ribbon, don't remember who makes the pp. the card base is oatmeal speckletone. Both of these cards have the other sentiment from the set "get well soon" stamped on the insides.
Interesting comparison. the top dvd case is from A Muse, the bottom is from SU.
The cases are nearly the same EXCEPT the part where your fingers go to open and close them the su one has curves and the A Muse one is more square. but, the big difference is those latches. (I have many many many of the su cases and most are perfectly fine) but, they close picky, and some do not stay latched no matter how many times you close them. the latches on the A Muse cases are a more sturdy, less flexible and you can just snap the case shut without fussing with it.
a top side view to see the finger openings, but picked up a reflection off the glass of the desk. But you get the idea right. ( I will be getting more of these for all my unmounted rubbers I've been buying. I like the uniform-ness of these size of a case, and rumor is that the SU ones are going up when they get a new book again. I don't have a new book and don't remember who said that one. )

Decoy's for You
Did this the other day too ( probably going to be a fathers day card also) with these Impression Obsession stamps. ( just for you & three decoys) on some Neenah classic cream. The Map PP is from 7 gypsies, the chocolate hemp string is from walmart, the base is Bazzill and 6" square in real life. There is a bit of distress inks colordusted along the edges of the main image and then the sentiment was stamped in tumbled glass.

Season Of Miracles cc
Layers and Layers of Outlines stamps heat embossed with Ranger seafoam white powder for their current color combo challenge. Which is Brown, Aqua & White.
This is 5 1/2" square in real life, the largest snowflake #J168 and the sentiment #C449 are done on stardream aquamarine ( which is shimmery in real life) and the smaller snowflake # E169 is done on Kraft. The white piece under the sentiment is from the spellbinders grommet tags die set, the kraft longer piece under that is from the fancy tags 2 set and the kraft panel under the largest snowflake is from the Grand labels 1 set, There is a bit of both aspen mist & aquatic splash versamagic chalk inks along the edge of this panel. The mini brads and sheer ribbon are unknown.
Cat Support
This is another almost CASE of my self, dont remember how long ago, but way back when PB did not have an angel policy ( or i thought they did not) I made a card with this image, stamps, color scheme and a gal at SCS pm'd me and asked to buy the card, ( which i had already given away or something dont remember the details) but, I did have the scraps laying around so I colored a second image and put all the pieces aside... so in the effort to get some of these scraps under control tossed this together the other day. the purple mulberry flowers were an free thank-you for ordering gift from Crop stop. and recently there was a free for all challenge at scs to make a card and something on it had to be "free" never did get around to uploading this one though, think the original card is in the gallery there. This ones 6" square in real life.

Beautiful Gardens
Keep admiring those big floofy bows done with seam binding... still have no idea "how-to" do them, was messing around with this one, tied it in knots a dozen times finally gave up and just looped loops and hand stitched it with a needle, and it was kinda flat... so parked this snip of a bloomer type style ribbon flower on top. This is an color combo challenge at scs with Certainly Celery, Blushing Bride & so Saffron colors. the card base is bazzill though, and so its slightly paler then the saffron on the sentiment mat.
These are newer Impression Obsession stamps ( i think) well lets put it this way new since last Christmas time.. They are stamped with versafine vintage sepia on Neenah classic cream then distressed with various inks. the mini brads are from Lasting Impressions.
It's 6" square in real life. those stick pins were bought at a yard sale and I think i have one left so have to find some of those and make more I guess because I do like how they look poked into something.

Kick Back Goose
Did you know that the Impression Obsession blog does challenges? ( I didn't) but, this was done real quick for the current challenge which is "lets hear it for the boys" This is 6" square in real life, the Impression Obsession Canadian Goose stamp was done with versafine vintage sepia on Neenah classic cream. the edges have some ranger distress inks (forest moss, tumbled glass, rusty hinge, antique linen) color dusted on to it. So does the Kick Back sentiment ( also from IO) the black mini brads are from recollections, the crackle PP is from sweetwater, the orange cardboard textured pp was from a yard sale grab bag of this stuff in different colors ( no clue who makes it) The blue cardbase is bazzill and its lined inside with some Neenah cream ( smooth) there is a few more days left of this challenge if your all working on Fathers Day at the moment...
Clean & Simple Notecards
Just messing around, there was a "kraft" challenge on stamp tv recently ( not this week maybe a week or two ago) and I knew i wanted to use this new birdcage from the Springtime Silhouettes set and this almost made it self. Then i had to laugh when i uploaded it to Stamp TV... its almost a CASE of the cards i made for thank-you notes from my birthday last year. this one is A-6 in real life. I liked how it turned out so well i made 6 more like it (smaller)
Frame & Sentiment are from the GKD lovely labels 2 set. These smaller cards are on SU kraft and the larger card above is on Gina K Kraft ( base weight) almost out of that, its totally yummy and need to remember to get more.
