This one's for Glinda's family. i know the colors are not what you'd expect to see on an sympathy card but, i could not make my self make the card dark and gloomy. She was such a special beautiful lady i wanted to send her family something that expressed how i felt about her. she will be dearly missed by many many stampers.

a couple from this afternoon
Today our entire shop was treated to lunch by a local construction co. we do business with. and DH asked for a Large "frilly" thank-you card... so, after riffling through my already colored images tin settled on this daisy swing hedgie... figured you cant get much frillier then lace and scallops... and its HUGE. 5 1/2" x8" in real life. the hedgies stamped on gp110 and colored with prisma pencils there is some gold liquid pearls in the centers of the daisy flowers. (this panel is up on pop dots) the sentiments from SU, the textured green & Yellow cardstocks are from Bazzill, the printed paper is from K&Co and the lace is from wrights.

some from the last few days
This Autumn Cruise Mousie was run through an Curved rectangle nestie then i cut the short ends off in the paper trimmer to make flat sides... some Nick Bantock ink along the edges, the pp's from K&Co a walmart pack a while back, the mulberry is unknown and the cardbase and ribbon is Papertrey Ink's Aqua Mist. this is 5X7 in real life.
The Main image is called Jolly Jack Frost from Paperinspirations and this is the first one i put together stamped Jack on su soft sky and then used the border scallops to make the edge and an 1/8" hole punch to insert the (cheap generic red organdy) through the holes. the black mat is Bazzill, and the opal shimmery cardstock is Stardream. the sentiments from SU (Snowflakes) and its 5X7 in real life.
this Jolly Jack Frost (from Paper Inspirations) was found in my stocking this Christmas so this is the second card i did with him. stamped on SU Soft Sky with India Ink Black then painted with Shimmerz Paints. the sentiments from Personal Stamp Exchange and this is 4 1/2 X 6 in real life.

Christmas Eve
This sentiment came to me via the pif swaps from Leibetty, (thanks Leigh Anne) its currently on the package that J will open tonight. Traditionally always always new PJ's. (does your family do that?) mine did, i think i finally asked my mom why somewhere around the age of 30 or so and the answer happened to be so everyone looks nice in their photos in the morning... :) so, this year the getting to smart for his own good kid has a pack of boxers on top of the pj's. which although he has convinced himself it really is PJ's in that box the look on his face when he opens it and finds underwear first should be fairly priceless..
this is an Elzybells sentiment stamped with Versafine Olympia green on gp110 and i color dusted some shabby shutters distress ink over the top of that. it was trimmed with an long rectangles die. the red is a scrap of Jupiter Stardream (shimmer cardstock) and the pp is from Basic Grey, the yellow is from SU and off the top of my head i don't remember which one. the ribbons from May Arts and that big heart brad is unknown. i did layer a second piece of the yellow to the back side to hide the ribbon ends and brad prongs.
Now this is something i put together for Tim's parents for Christmas, His mom is sick in bed so it may be a day or two or three before they receive it. its 6 inches square in real life. the PSX image is colored with prisma pencils the mat under this is blush blossom cardstock and the sentiments from Hero Arts, the lace is vintage and unknown. the green pp is from Basic Grey (the reverse side of the holly print on the tag above) and the textured cardbase is bazzill.
This is one i did with a new stamp that i ordered with part of my gift certificate from my wrak ss (artsylori) Thanks Lori!! its stamped on GP110 and colored with prisma pencils then cut out and layered to the cream stardream shimmer cardstock the red lace is unknown, the green satin is offray. that sentiments from the stampin up set fancy flexible phrases and was die cut with nestiblities dies. the cardbase is Mellow moss.
this was just for fun one i put together for Tim yesterday and also a new house mouse stamp thanks to Lori, its called eek, eek ,eek... I know what your thinking when you see this...
what you don't know is that its been at least 5 years since Ive talked on the phone and i have a phone program now and what happens is if i flip the switch on the sound processor from the everyday program to the phone program it searches for the phone and blocks sound where i am at so that the ear is focused on the noise coming from inside the phone not where i am at, so the first time i tried this i called from home to the office on my cell phone (which i have used for a couple of years now just as a text message box) (and its pink) lol, and now i have tried it twice with the land line phone at work. funny thing when i use it with my cell phone i cannot hear myself talking but, i think when i used the land line there was a slight i could almost hear myself speaking and the getting the receiver in the right spot seems to be tricky too because, haha on my i kept putting it to my ear (which is deaf) and I'm not sure about this part but, I think that it maybe that i need to get the phone receiver over the place where the magnetic connect.
Interesting thing this road to better hearing. its kind of a funny thing people always ask me every time we come back from seeing the Dr. and having it adjusted "how is your hearing" to which the reply has become... Probably better then yours *smile* it's bionic... lol so, then i know what they mean so i give them the latest comprehension levels (which is 80%) and what makes speaking on a phone possible. neat thing, got an email from the surgeons office today so we go back to the hospital to see the surgeon in January (this is a pre-surgery medical briefing type visit) then after that i find out when i will become bi-lateral with the second ear. this is thrilling and scary at the same time. thrilling/excited is winning though. :)
a close up look at the bling. the Jupiter (red) stardream is a shimmer cardstock and the cloud 9 (friskars) printed paper has like its not glitter more like diamond glaze 3-d shinny glue on bits of the hearts on the paper. the main image is up on pop dots but, this is pretty flat for the most part and is 4 1/2 X 6 in real life. i have a stack of these stamped to color so i can start making "call me" cards... you know call me make my day! :)
at any rate i hope you have a beautiful Christmas! (were gonna have a white one! whoo!) :)

peaceful colored sympathy
This was totally inspired by an color combo i was asked to stamp this close to a memory set in for a snag for Diane in Iowa. Thanks Diane! the petals are so saffron, the stems are mellow moss and the sentiments always artichoke (markers) and the mat on this is river rock card stock and since i had originally cut it on the largest size of petite ovals i then trimmed it with scissors to add the black mat. this is up on pop dots and the gold organdy is unknown. (the gold looks better with the petals in real life though then in this photo) the speckled green card stock was from that club scrap prize and the black textured card stock is bazzill. the base of this 5X7 card is river rock that was randomly stamped with the hero arts fancy filaments leaf stamp.
not sure if the gold bow is just over the top on a sympathy card or not? Tim's thought was i could change it to a black bow. (which of course would require a shopping trip since i don't have black organdy that would fit into those huge holes from the ribbon slot punch) I did think though as i was doing it because i do not need a sympathy card at the moment it was alot easier to put this together then they usually are like when you need one. so I may play with this set some more while i have it out.

Did this one first, it did not start out so distressed but, when i tried to layer the image to the scallops i got it crooked and when i pulled it apart the white piece got much thinner and crumpled so out came the old paper distress in an effort to "save it" so, the Merry Christmas is an Joanns 1$ stamp (this year) and the snowflake pp is from basic Grey. the cardbase is barely banana and the sentiment layer and scallop layer are So Safaron. this ones also 5 1/2" square in real life.

This Deck the Halls kitty is an PIF image from Menolly13 (Thanks Melissa!) colored with prisma pencils, the pp is a double sided CTMH pp and the red cardstock is Bazzill. this is 4 1/2 X 6 in real life also.
