Season Of Thanks!
Just a little something on my mind lately...
American Home image is from Stamps Happen Stamped on GP110 and colored with prisma pencils. Season of thanks sentiment is from an old Stampin Up set (with the same name)die cut with the Spellbinders Nestibilities curved rectangles (smallest size) the mat was cut with scissors as they layers are not this close together. there is some Old Paper Distress ink on the edges of the GP110. White satin ribbon is unknown, and the blue sheer with stripes is May Arts. the Star PP is from Reminisce, the dots is from MM,
Cardbase is Papertrey Ink White and measures 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches in real life.
This Image just makes me feel so grateful to be an American and so Thankful for all our Military Families. Hope your all having a blessed Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving
I used the mega curved rectangles (nestiblities dies) on this card. (used some of the money my mom gave me for my birthday to order them and they just arrived in the mail the other day. (Thanks Mom) :) I'm planning to send you some samples of the die cuts because (they will work in your cuttlebug) Anyways this is 5X7 in real life. Penny Black "I'm So Cute" dog with an Inkadinkado Sentiment. the polka dot pp is from an scrap and i used some old paper distress along the edges of the white panel so they could blend a little better. the cream paper flower is from Bazzill (who knew they made flowers?) not I (this is also another birthday gift from Jan) red prima flower and button with dmc floss. Thought it would look cool with the layers sewn but, even going reallllyy SLLOOOOW i could not get the stitches to follow the curves exactly.
(so harder to do then circles) :)
yeppers those snowmen have the bodies to prove it too eh?
just messing around, i don't do much in the way of altered things very often. but these were fun. all of the pp (except the red check) is Basic Grey, the tags were cut with nestibility dies. (curved rectangles and scalloped rectangles) slimming chocolate sentiments from Inkadinkado, the worthwhile chocolate sentiments from Limited Editions, the Enjoy is from Hero Arts. these were stamped with Distress Inks (fired brick) brackets are die cuts from Quickutz. various ribbons. found you have to make these fit the bars though you cant just make wrappers and then go buy bars there are just so many size variations of chocolate.
just some things from yesterday afternoon...

Play room snap shots
Found this at an holiday craft bazaar yesterday... and it just screamed haul me home...
It was hanging on a wall in the booth. but, it folds from the backside so can sit flat too...
Side view
late last night after moving some sentiments to it... If you have never seen photos of my space these are "re-arranged shots" last month the shelves fell down inside my closet so during the clean up and putting things back into the closet i was able to move all my tackle boxes of embellishments and all my punchies to the closet also, so the only thing that was left on one of the 6 foot tables was my sewing machine. so
Tim knocked the badly installed shelf that used to be in the corner of this space and i moved the short folding table to the corner and the desk out where the altered bakers rack of stamps used to be and parked my sewing machine on it. the photo boxes are holding spellbinders dies and embossing folders and such.
Main work space this is an 6Foot wide costco folding table set at counter height.
Had this on the wall for about a week maybe a week and a half, its just not deep enough to have round edge sentiments sit inside it. had it on the closet door for a day that didn't last long, then had it on the wall where the ink pads were moved to, that didn't work any better. So Tim says he can install some bracket things under this table so i can slide it in and out. (like a real drawer)
So, this meant moving the little black table i found this summer and because its on the end of this table I cannot put stamp boxes on it or cannot open the closet door... so a whole bunch of stamps are on the floor under the table in the corner.
flower jars, buttons etc.
table in the corner, the Stationery boxes in the center the two on the left are holding stamped images (that need colored) the box on the right is blank cardstock quarters, wish sheets, envelopes (things i use all the time stamping raks and trades)
look at the corner, moved all the paper closer together, still some on top of that table though but, its easier to pick the piece i want since its all mostly in one place now. cut cardstocks and pads are on the table.
moved this away from the door and up against the wall. the wall space between the two closet doors is actually wide enough that maybe maybe if i beg Tim could make me a similar kind of rack but, one where the trays are closer together and maybe three across... (this would keep me from crawling under the table so much) (well for a while till i bought more stamps again)
Lockhart pumpkins in the wagon are colored with prisma pencils and die cut with the spellbinders Large labels. the sentiments been die cut with an ribbon slider die. there are two sizes of ribbons on this the narrow is tied to the sliders and the larger is just wrapped around the fancy pants pp. Funny thing is this year we had extra pumpkins in the garden but, we ended up giving them to the food bank. this is 5 1/2" Square in real life.
Northwoods Hydrangea's in an wooden basket, also colored with prisma pencils. this ones 4 1/2" X6" in real life, sentiments from SU. ribbons from American Crafts. the textured pp is from K & Co. the cardstocks are GP110, Chocolate Chip and almost Amethyst.
This is an wish rak image that came to me from BrickhouseCards, Thanks Christina! colored with prisma pencils ('cept the snowflakes are gelly roll stardust pen) the sentiments from the Gina K Make a wish set. ribbons from May Arts. the script pp is from Penny Black and the textured pp is from Scrap-ease. this is 6 inches square in real life.

recent projects
This should be safe to post now, Jan's birthday was Thursday... and she sent me this stamp for my birthday and I used it to make her birthday card...
this scallop oval with the embossed (lace looking edge) is from a multi pack of tags from Martha Stewart found at Micheal's. there is some blush blossom marker on some of the embossed dots.
I keep finding my self needing simple note cards ones that would be easy to let go of and to send other things in the mail. so I am in two secret santa swaps this season and one of my peeps was wishing for some embellishment that I found this Unity stamp in the same store so i bought it to hit the free shipping level... (yeah yeah i know i know) funny thing, this stamp the wood is like 1/4 inch thick. so i am sitting it on the table and putting the inked rubber up and just walking my fingers around on it. its not something that feels like you can hold and press it. these are all A-2 in real life. versafine vintage sepia ink on (the new pink from su) Sahara Sand and blush blossom cardstocks. Prima Flowers, MM green Buttons, DMC embroidery floss, Sentiments from Memory Box.
Did 6 of these all together.
This is an PIF image swap from Menolly13 (Thanks Melissa) its from Whiff of Joy called Willow with Cocoa. ( Oh i am in deep love with this line, have not caved and ordered any yet though) :) she's colored with prisma pencils. this was done with the scraps on the table from the card i did for June the other day. sentiments from A Muse. its 6 Inches Square in real life.
now this was done just messing around, Tim says they are all the same card. ( its a close call) the Holly Chickadee is from Impression Obsession, the Sentiments from the Joanns 1$ bin. the red column cs is from Neenah Papers. the cream with black sentiments pp is from ah will have to go flip one over later and edit, the darker pp with text is from K & Co. the black is from bazzill, each of these has a different black lace or trim on them the bird circle is up on popdots over the red scallop mat. the sewing is slightly different from card to card also. these are 5 1/2 ish in real life.
cluster view of the 6 cards.
I had to laugh a week or so ago, i got an email from Alice that she had finally made her self place an online order (all by her self) and what was her downfall you ask? what made her do it? well mice of course... this is one of Alice's new House Mouse stamps. ( I don't know its name sorry and feeling too lazy to go research it) its stamped on su ww and colored with prisma pencils, the sentiments from Karen Lockhart stamps, the polkadot flower is from Prima, the buttons vintage, the hemp strings from a ball found in the bead isle at walmart, the swiss dots sheer ribbon is probably May Arts but, don't remember anymore. the pp is from Sandy lion. the red cs is from Su ridinghoodred. the cardbase is PaperTrey Ink's white.
this was done with the grass stamp from Inspired by nature, stamped with always artichoke on river rock cardstock... then i ran a scrap through the cuttlebug folder and inked it the same color, then wanting the bird to POP painted it with Shimmerz paint that Jan gave me for my birthday. so the color of the bird is a little off on this green but its still interesting i guess. the cuttlebuged pieces is up on pop dots over the stamped background.
Now I did mention i am in these secret swaps yes, and one of my peeps said her favorite holiday is Christmas and so i thought ok what do you make someone who probably has everything she wants... ( people tend to collect things they love right?) so one idea i had was to make gift tags for her to use incase she needs more it always seems like you need to put together some last minute things every year right? so I've made a few of them and these and the ones below are some of them. (most are in her box and wont be photographed by me though)

These cards were done the weekend of the "for the girls" wish rak challenges... This was done for a featured stamper (case a card in her gallery challenge) so, this is the card of Jessica's i had chosen. (colored with pencils) the the Medium Mostly Mauve mat is from Color Mates, the Green Stitched Background came to me from wish rak as did the define your life sentiment. the Pink scallop mat is from an 5X7 package of (flat) cards in the stationary isle at staples office supplies. ( the cream linen cardbase was cut just a hair smaller then 5X7 so it did not peek through the scallops) the pink velvet is from MM.
this is what it looks like from the back side of the card with the card base deliberately cut smaller then that scalloped pink.
this Flourishes Tall mug came to me via wish rak from Hobbywoman (Thanks Jules!) it's colored with prisma pencils (twice) cut out layer on top is over pop-dots. the blue organdy is unknown. there is tattered rose distress ink on most edges (and all the blush blossom cs as it was not quite the right color to go with the Basic Grey PP) the Sentiments from like it a latte SU on Baja Breeze with Palette Noir Black ink. have lots of edits going into this upload haha. the brown satin ribbon is from Offray. this is 4 1/2 X6 in real life.
these were done for Monika's wish Rak challenge, these images came to me via wish rak from AGMommyof2 (Thanks Monika!) they are colored with Prisma pencils, the one on the left has shimmery purple cardstock and the center of the prima flower has an pearlized button with silver cord (the old style that unravels) and is A-2 in size, the one on the right is 5X7 in real life, has some nick bantock rose madder ink sponged around the kitty, with an hot pink heart shaped faux crystal type gem on the hat. both of these kittys have Nestibility die cut mats and May Arts ribbons. tfl.

Have lots of other things that need posted but not much time to do so at the moment, so more later.

the last 24 hours
This house mouse is called Christmas Cookie Eaters (Stampa Rosa) I've had this colored a while now and finally got around to putting it on a card this afternoon. The sentiments also from that line and co. the yellow cs is (ah forgot already) the green is always artichoke and the pp is from BoBunny Press. this is 5X7 in real life. the sentiments up on pop dots and stamped with versafine on a scrap of hammermill cs that had fired brick red distress ink foil transferred to it (long time ago) the red satin ribbon is from an Joann's grab bag a while back.
There is some"Angel Wings" Shimmerz paint on the edging of the heart shaped cookie, and some in the center dots of the cookie on the left. there is also some of the green on a few of the pine needles. ( its really subtle and hard to photograph) Painted those spots twice but, perhaps it needs more paint? and or thicker applications. was going light just incase it was going to have an chemical reaction with either the stamping ink or the prisma pencils. (So far so good) sometimes that happens with the stickles glitters, they will make the stamped image run. and this paint did not do that. (used a very small brush) :) Probably going to look for more colors too haha.
Now this one i put together last night as my second "sample" for the wishrak challenge i will host tonight. that flower is recycled from the note that Jan sent to me with the shimmerz paint. the girls are colored with copic, Bic, and Tombow Markers. the sentiments from the Elzybells (UK) site. the printed paper is from Sandy Lion. the red is ridinghoodred. the mini brad is unknown. this ones also 5X7.

A recent purchase this one is colored with copic markers and gelly (stardust on the wings and gold on the halo) roll glaze pens.. (a look at the bling)
Its 5X7 in real life. This stamp (Angelica from Stampendous was on sale 40% off at M's when i went through there last week. and Ive been through there 3 times in Oct. so... finally caved and bought it since it was on sale and its so different then my other angel images. (had not seen this one in person before) it was fun to color. House Mouse "painting a pansy" I have to find my note book to know who to thank for it, the card stock colors are marigold morning, certainly celery and orchid opulence. its 5X7 in real life. the celery was run through an "d'vine swirls" folder in the cuttlebug.
ah, old desk top computer is totally fried inside so, a new puter is being built. this will take time. so i have none of my files, photos or email addresses...
the computer tech was able to save my hard drive to his so will work at reloading it to the new computer after the parts come in. evidently if we buy what we had we will have to upgrade in a year anyways. (something in computers are about to change again) and so... cheaper to just get the new thing now then upgrade to it next year... but, its too late to get XP so the new puter will have to go vista... WAAA! (insert a sad face here)
lazy i know but i am resistant to changes...
So that's about it, gotta go bump the heaters to 70 the snow is making me cold in my bones.
got the election coverage on... glad its almost over. :)
