gave notice today at the LSS

so, that is almost over with. ah ha your thinking WHAT? the thing is I have given this a great deal of thought, and I spend so much time making cards for the the stores, and thinking of ideas for the stores and putting together packets for the stores and the teaching part is actually only a couple of hours twice a month. but all the behind the scenes time is actually almost as much time as i spend at my "real" job. and as soon as it stops snowing and becomes planting season/weeding/watering season there wont be time to do this the way I have been doing it, so i am ending it. Store owner is upset and that cant be helped but, its not my responsibility to keep her store going either. and i don't want to have that worry on my plate anymore. so, today i did not create anything at all. (just dinner) and that's kinda OK too. who knows maybe i will find time to scrapbook again... and cross your fingers finish off the atc swap. and so this is a good thing, My DH is excited about it too. Next on the list of things to plan is J's b-day which he is already totally excited about. :) More later, Me

Still snowing here

So Yesterday Tim turned 40 and we took him to Applebees for dinner after work. this is one of the cards i did for him ( he had more than one) the die cuts on the side is one that was cut in half from DCWV. the sentiment is up on pop dots. I'm thinking about submitting this one Thinking about submitting this one too...
one just for fun, i just got the sympathy set (close as a memory) from
my MIL's recent party and so these flowers are from that SU set, but i don't
remember the name of the set the sentiment came out of. but it is stamped
with burgundy (distress ink) and the printed paper is basic grey.
each of these cards are 5X7 in size

Tomorrow's Scrapbook Garden Class

The new owner of the Scrapbook garden asked me to do a "Basic stamping class" to do 4 cards that were all Happy Birthday and they all had to be "simple" and they all had to use this paper line (which as you can see is nearly impossible to stamp on lol) I did get a few of these MSE stamps onto a few of the cards... But most of them i did with the PP as the focus.
at any rate she did not sell any spots in this class
so it will not hold.
I also have a few other cards made with this paperline
on display in that store and some cards made with stamps
purchased in that store also on display but, i think if she askes
me again if i will teach there the answer is no.
I like that she has rules for people who want to take classes
but, i find it easier to make up what ever i want to do like
wandering around the store and picking the stamps or papers
my self. this paper is not something i would ever have chosen to spend money on my self. (not to stamp on anyways)

Some more cards from the last month...

This is on display in the scrapbook studio, the stampendous bunny stamp is stamped on scraps of alcohol inks backgrounds and all the edges have creamy brown chalk ink on them. This is a prototype of a card i will teach in March at the studio store... dress template is a free one to members of the http://stamp-shack.com/ (you have to participate in the site and after you have 20 post counts (which you can do very quickly in the gallery leaving praise) you can download templates the sites owner makes. I just joined this site around Xmas i guess? and i like it, its been drama free from what i have seen (which is my main requirement for boards i visit) This one was just for fun, got these stamps last spring from a SU party and finally used some of them. the ribbon was found at wal-mart the same day i found the pp at a lss. fun fun inks are su bordeing blue and creamy brown colorbox liquid chalk inks. This one the background was created with an ink foil transfer. and the stamps are newer hero arts ones. Ooh i am in love with a bug, i did get a cuttlebug machine on Valentines day this year and i think i will be collecting more of these embossing folders. this particular one i picked up on eBay and chalked the flowers and vines on it. the sentiment stamp is from SU and the ribbon is another eBay find. Not sure how many cards i can get it to upload in one post so i am going to start a nother one before it eats these... tfl.

Todays Cards

these are using a stampendous pail topper stamp that is heat embossed in ranger detail Black powder on all parts of the stamp {even the parts i paper pieced to it} some of the cards i did have diamond glaze on the lady bugs too. the gold dots are liquid pearls.
Each of these cards are 5X7 inches in size
i think this one is my favorite, the little beribboned clippies are just too cute. :)
more cards coming soon,
tfl.
